Earth Day Contest
The Earth Day RE-SCULPT Contest! Calling all NSU artists to create recycled sculptures to be displayed at John Vaughan Library in celebration of Earth Day.
* Open to all NSU Faculty/Staff and Students, you can submit as an individual or in teams of 2-4 people.
* Must be at least 75% recycled materials, NO GLASS.
* All materials used must be clean of food remnants.
* NO paint is allowed, painted materials are not recyclable.
* No sharp edges.
* Sculpture must be able to stand on it's own and all parts must be secure. Library is not responsible for any damage that may happen to it while on display.
* Size is limited to 3 feet wide by 3 feet deep and 4 feet tall.
* All Sculptures should be family-friendly.
Professor of Art Lance Hunter will be judging the sculptures. Works will be judged on originality, how creatively the materials are used, and overall aesthetic quality. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize will be awarded to the top winners, and an interview with the Northeastern and/or The Tahlequah Daily Press. Works need to be delivered to the John Vaughan Library between 1-5 pm on Tuesday April 20th. For further information call 444-3235.
